This handcrafted glass paperweight captures a blooming rose in a moment of perpetual blossom. The flower is formed entirely from molten glass and suspended within a crystal-clear sphere at temperatures exceeding 1300°C. Each petal is individually sculpted by hand using advanced lampworking skills, requiring the artist to maintain constant motion and precise timing to preserve the flower’s depth and realism before it is seamlessly encased in transparent glass. The thick, premium crystal acts as a natural lens, magnifying the intricate details and vibrant colors of the interior rose while providing the substantial weight and clarity of high-end functional art.

Tiny air bubbles are intentionally introduced to simulate delicate morning dew, enhancing dimensionality and light reflection to create a luminous, sculptural effect from every angle. No natural flowers or preservation methods are used; the rose exists solely through glass artistry and furnace-work, making each piece a unique testament to technical mastery and patience. To ensure lifelong durability, every paperweight undergoes a rigorous 48-hour controlled annealing process, cooling at an extremely slow rate to eliminate internal stress and prevent the glass from shattering.

Finished with a hand-ground and mirror-polished base for perfect stability and light entry, this is a timeless statement piece designed to be admired. As each piece is individually handcrafted by master artisans, slight variations in petal shape and bubble placement are a natural occurrence, serving as the hallmark of its authentic, artisanal character.

DESIGNED FOR BEAUTY

All our glass sculptures are handmade with the intent of showing nature's beauty through glass and fire

The Creation Process

The glass is heated to over 1,000°C, and as it begins to soften, it is expertly shaped by hand, with every swirl and curve revealing the personal touch of the craftsman.

Once the glass is sufficiently heated our artesians use various methods to create the colour swirls and pops of colour within each sculpture. For the embedded colours metallic salts or oxides are used to create different colour effects and for attachements, heated colour glass rods are melted onto the main glass piece.

The delicate balance of heat and movement ensures that no two pieces are identical, each one telling its own story through the elegance of its form. The result is not just a functional object but a testament to the artistry and craftsmanship that has been perfected over generations.
